MBA 6335 - Managerial Finance


Managerial Finance is an integrated application of accounting and economic principles to the financial functions of business. The course covers financial analysis, basic investing concepts, risk and return, time value of money, capital structure, and capital budgeting.

Learning Outcomes:
  • Apply valuation techniques to projects and investment opportunities for firms.
  • Understand and interpret the financial statements of a business firm.
  • Understand and use time value of money tools to value different financial securities, including stocks and bonds.
  • Understand the relationship between risk and return and its impact on a firm’s cost of capital.
  • Use financial information to evaluate the financial position and performance of a firm, both in relation to other firms and over time.
