HLTH 6070 - Health Promotion and Health Behavior Theory and application of health promotion/education planning, implementation, and evaluation by health professions in a variety of settings. Emphasis on research related to determinants of health behavior, plus strategies and techniques used by professionals to foster human health.

- Demonstrate an understanding of the manner in which major health behavior theories are used in practice.
- Demonstrate an understanding of the manner in which major health behavior theories are used in research.
- Discuss the historical development of the primary models and theories of health behavior.
- Locate, review, and synthesize literature related to the primary models and theories and their application to health issues.
