EE 5313 - Optoelectronics and Photonics Introduction to fundamentals of the light propagation in solid media, passive devices like waveguides and optical fiber. Introduction to important modern active optoelectronic devices. Emphasizes basic physical theory needed to understand LEDs, laser diodes, photodetectors, photovoltaics and their construction and applications.
