• Students understandl travel demand forecasting, elasticity coefficients, and congestion pricing.
• Students will be introduced to asset management and design issues.
• Students will be introduced to bus stop and station/terminal design, vehicle capacity and fleet design.
• Students will learn about human service agency coordination practices.
• Students will learn history of public transit and federal/state legislation.
• Students will learn transit board relations.
• Students will safety and security issues concerning public transit systems.
• Students will study busses, trolleybusses and streetcars as rapid transit modes.
• Students will study heavy rail, commuter rail, and subways.
• Students will study light rail systems such as monorails, and other guided automated systems.
• Students will study paratransit, ridersharing, carpooling, and taxis.
