CE 7740 - Experimental Soil Mechanics
Experimental studies of advanced aspects of soil property measurements to evaluate the engineering behavior of soil for applications to geotechnical analysis and design.

- Students will be able to model soil behavior using computer.
- Students will be introduced to the art of centrifuge modeling.
- Students will understand consolidation theory and how to conduct laboratory experiments.
- Students will understand fate of contaminant theories and how to conduct laboratory experiments.
- Students will understand seepage flow theories and how to conduct laboratory experiments.
- Students will understand soil composition, structure, and index properties.
- Students will understand soil dynamics theories and how to conduct laboratory experiments.
