CE 7290 - Mathematical Theory of Elasticity Foundations of solid mechanics, compatibility equations, stress function, displacement potentials, finite element applications, and propagation of waves in elastic solid media.

- Students will apply stress function and solve elastic solid problems.
- Students will learn equilibrium and compatibility equations in various coordinate systems.
- Students will review fundamentals of solid mechanics.
- Students will solve wave propagation problems in elastic solid.
- Students will use displacement potentials to solve mechanics problems.
