CE 5450 - Design of Hydraulic Structures

Design flood peaks, flood hydrograph, spillway, penstock, and river channel regulation.

Requisites: CE 3420
Credit Hours: 3

Learning Outcomes:
  • Students will be able to design structures for flood peaks.
  • Students will be introduced to theories of flood hydrograph & design.
  • Students will learn about regulations governing rivesr and channels.
  • Students will learn about spillways and penstocks as control measures.
  • Students will learn how to design flood protection structures.
