AT 6110 - Athletic Training Administration and Clinical Instruction Focuses on sports medicine administration including: management skills, human resource skills, documentation, communication, and strategies for service delivery in high schools and colleges/universities. Addresses the knowledge and skills required to be an approved clinical instructor for entry-level AT students.
Requisites: Master of Science in Athletic Training Major Credit Hours: 3 Repeat/Retake Information: May not be retaken. Lecture/Lab Hours: 3.0 lecture Grades: Eligible Grades: A-F,PR,WP,WF,WN,FN,AU,I Learning Outcomes: - The student will abide by state athletic training practice acts and professional ethical principles.
- The student will create a site-specific medical documentation and financial plan for their clinical assistantship site.
- The student will describe how epidemiogical factors influence the management of their clinical practices.
- The student will develop a written comprehensive policy and procedures manual and emergency action plan for their graduate assistantship site.
- The student will implement the principles of risk management, conflict management, and management and leadership theories.
- The student will perform the administrative functions along with the affective, moral, and ethical behaviors expected in the secondary school and intercollegiate settings.
