DSI 2860 - Study of Deaf Culture Provides an overview of the Deaf Community and its rich culture. Focuses on the American Deaf Community by exploring its origins, culture, identity politics, values, and history. Examines the oppression experienced by the Deaf community and the impact hegemony has had on the attitudes, values, and beliefs of both the hearing and d/Deaf community.
