OCOM 862 - General Surgery and Selective Surgery

(8 weeks)
This clinical course is predominantly an in-hospital rotation that prepares students to recognize those diseases and conditions in which surgery may play a role in the patient’s treatment and recovery. It is designed to prepare students to participate in the preoperative and postoperative management of the surgical patient on an inpatient as well as an outpatient basis.
