HIST 328A - Jewish History to 1500 Jewish history during the ancient and medieval periods in Europe and the Near East. Introduction to the basic beliefs and practices of premodern Judaism within a historical context; issues of imperialism, resistance, and persecution of minorities; cultural achievements.
Prerequisites: SOPH OR JR OR SR Credit Hours: 4 Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken one time excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts. Note: Effective Summer Quarter 2010-11 (June 2011) any non-repeatable course may be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts.
