CLAS 231 - Human Aspirations Among the Greeks and Romans A study of the hopes and goals that shaped the lives of individuals and societies in the ancient Western tradition. Topics include financial success, respect, pleasure, wisdom, national well-being, and salvation of the soul. Involves extensive reading of Greek and Latin literature in English translation.
Credit Hours: 4 General Education Code: 2HL Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken an unlimited number of times, but only last course taken counts. Note: Effective Summer Quarter 2010-11 (June 2011) any non-repeatable course may be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts.
