BIOS 427 - Mechanisms of Gene Regulation Class is intended for upper-level undergraduates and graduate students. An in-depth discussion of the molecular events that regulate eucaryotic gene expression. Topics also include gene regulation during differentiation and development, aberrant transcription and disease, generation and utility of transgenic animals, and genomics-based analysis of gene expression.
Prerequisites: C- OR BETTER BIOS 325 & (JR OR SR) Credit Hours: 3 Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken one time excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts. Note: Effective Summer Quarter 2010-11 (June 2011) any non-repeatable course may be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts.
