BIOS 417 - Cognitive Neuroscience Neural basis of higher-order process in humans and other vertebrates: learning and memory, perception, attention, emotion, motivation and reward, language, decision-making, consciousness. Students learn to understand cognitive processes by integrating current research at behavioral, systems, and cellular levels. A major goal of the course is to train students to evaluate and to participate effectively in critical discussion of current research literature. 4 lec.
Prerequisites: BIOS 413 OR 414 OR 415 OR PSY 312 Credit Hours: 4 Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken one time excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts. Note: Effective Summer Quarter 2010-11 (June 2011) any non-repeatable course may be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts.
