AAS 360 - Black Politics in the United States Examines the American political system from the perspective of black political behavior and the relationship of blacks to the political system at national, state, and local levels. Includes analyses of the civil-rights movement as well as sociopolitical movements associated with ideologies of black nationalism and black liberation.
Prerequisites: 8 HRS OF SOCIAL SCIENCE Credit Hours: 4 Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken an unlimited number of times, but only last course taken counts. Note: Effective Summer Quarter 2010-11 (June 2011) any non-repeatable course may be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts.
