BIOS 514 - Molecular and Cellular Neuroscience

Introduction to the molecular and cellular basis of the functioning of the nervous system. Topics to be covered include cell morphology, excitable properties of neurons, molecular biology of ion channels, mathematical modeling, synaptic function, neuropharmacology and signal transduction control of gene epression, learning and memory, and development of the nervous system.
