GEOL 427 - Water Geochemistry Geochemical origin of major ions in natural waters and the role of fluid-mineral interactions in the evolution of sediments, the ocean, and the atmosphere. Major geochemical cycles. Introduction to thermodynamic equilibrium, kinetics, complexation, oxidation-reduction, and cation exchange.
