AT 5342 - Clinical Research in Athletic Training II A continuation of the previous course, this course builds on skills required for utilizing scientific literature to inform clinical practice in athletic training. Emphasizes critical appraisal of clinical topics and the mechanics of scientific writing for a capstone project that produces a critically appraised topic manuscript.
Requisites: C or better in AT 5341 Credit Hours: 2 Repeat/Retake Information: May not be retaken. Lecture/Lab Hours: 2.0 lecture Grades: Eligible Grades: A-F,WP,WF,WN,FN,AU,I Learning Outcomes: - Students will be able to critically evaluate scientific literature on a variety of topics in athletic training.
- Students will be able to locate, analyze, and implement findings from scientific literature into specific injury cases.
- Students will be able to demonstrate scholarly writing skills.
- Students will be able to plan and write a critically appraised topic manuscript that is ready for publication.
