Program Overview

The studio art minor is offered for nonmajors who wish to pursue study in art.
 

Admissions Information

Freshman/First-Year Admission

To declare a studio art minor, consult with your major advisor and with a School of Art advisor. Approval from the School of Art director is required. Minimum requirements of 2.75 over GPA for admission. You must maintain a 3.0 GPA in the minor.

Change of Program Policy

To declare a studio art minor, consult with your major advisor and with a School of Art advisor. Admission into the minor requires that you have a 2.75 or better GPA. In order to receive approval from the director, School of Art, please provide a current copy of your DARS report, along with a Update of Program form which the director will sign after verifying that you have an appropriate GPA. You must maintain a 3.0 GPA in the minor once admitted.

External Transfer Admission

No requirements beyond University admission requirements.
 

Opportunities Upon Graduation

The studio art minor is designed for students majoring in other fields who want to expand their knowledge of the history, theory, and practice of studio art.
