This graduate program is offered for those who are desirous of developing their classroom competence as middle childhood teachers. Those wishing to obtain their initial teaching license in Middle Childhood must follow the requirements for the Master of Education - Middle Childhood Licensure. Each student’s Master’s degree in Middle Childhood Education is carefully tailored to his/her specific goals and needs through a close working relationship between the major advisor and student.

Students who elect a Middle Childhood Education program must choose a combination of two subject content specializations:

• Language Arts
• Mathematics
• Science
• Social Studies
