EXPH 1001 - Lifetime Fitness This course presents the risks of sedentary behavior and the benefits of regular physical activity (fitness) to long-term health and wellness. Additionally, the course presents the fundamental recommendations to promote long-term health benefits and wellness. This course includes basic anatomy and physiology to provide an “owner’s manual” understanding of how the human body responds and adapts to sedentary and physical activity stressors. This course also includes a basic introduction of the roles of stress and diet in the promotion of fitness and wellness.
Requisites: Non-Exercise Physiology (BS8122) and Non-Pre-Exercise Physiology (ND8839) majors Credit Hours: 2 General Education Code: 2AS Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts.
